Pirates

Surprisingly quick steam-punk-post-apocalypse air pirates (Picture Treasure Island meets Mad Max) for a school pitch assignment that I ended up liking to much.

Self-study character line-up

Self Study part 3

Self Study part 2

Self Study part 1

Character Lineup from my character design self study based on Jack London´s 1904 novel "The Sea Wolf"

Oberland: Unhuman folk

In the belly of the beast lies their domain. The wrong ears that listen to very human wishes, and the intrusive whispers that come soon after. Those who yield into these voices at first find themselves living a personal golden age, but that soon starts to degenerate into decadence, and when at their most desperate, the voices return. “There’s only one way you can get your golden age back…find me a child.”
These kind of Golden Ages never last very long…

Oberland: Forest Boogieman

The Wilderelder lives on the forest’s grotto. He hates humans and is known for abducting them and -in his words- put them to good use… yet nobody knows what he really does with them, and his victims are never seen again.
The Oberland has a culture of fear formed around the Wilderelder. There isn’t someone who is weary of him. Even when the many different cultures of the Oberland tend to clash, they are united in fear of him. Ranging from wives tales to actual warnings from the authorities. Not a single esceptic when it comes to him.
